Ocotal Beach

This small quiet beach community has been awarded for several consecutive years with the government's coveted Ecological Blue Flag. The lovely salt and pepper colored beach is great for swimming and snorkeling, or simply sitting on the beach and taking in that incredible white ocean mist. Playa Hermosa

Playa Hermosa offers delight in culinary experience with great restaurants, anything from hot wings at a sports bar to gourmet “Tapas” on a balcony. Home to a large ex-pat community, Hermosa is rich in culture. This beach has beachfront resorts, including the first timeshare resort introducing Costa Rica's beautiful white sand beach to the tourist world; you can also see gorgeous houses on the mountains, and beachfront.

Playa Panama

With a laid back atmosphere, the most tranquil swimming beach, this wonderful community is ideal for travelers who enjoy sunbathing, long walks along the shore, and are looking for peace and relaxation; Playa Panama also has a range of luxury resorts and condominiums as well as more affordable accommodations. This beach is closest to the airport via a new paved road that winds through the mountains with spectacular views. Playa Panama is mostly undeveloped land the government has set aside in order preserve the wildlife and vegetation, so the beautiful landscape is virtually untouched.
